Main Article Content
Abstract
This research explores the relationship between HR practices and WLB of female workers in organisational settings. The main issue arising from increase in workforce participation is that women have issues of work-family balance. The research may compare HR interventions like working hours and pattern, paid maternal/paternal leave or other employees’ assistance programs, as to their suitability for enhancing WLB.
A structured questionnaire was administered to the respondents and responses from 200 female employees were summarized using frequency distribution tables. The results show that some of the best human resource management practices have a positive relationship with job satisfaction and organizational commitment yet many areas such as employee support programs and policy communication remain unaddressed.
Finally, the study provides the suggestions to strengthen the HR practices that are relevant to the women employees and recommended strategy for increasing the satisfaction, performance, and organisational benefits for women employees in a multinational corporation.
