Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between the school principals’ favoritist attitudes and behaviors and the teachers’ perceptions of organizational justice. The universe of the study consists of teachers who work at primary schools, elementary schools and high schools in the central district of Düzce province in 2012–2013 academic year. The schools in the sample of the research are chosen with the help of random sampling. The data are gathered through favoritism and organizational justice scale. The research’s model is descriptive survey. In order to test the hypotheses, the correlation analysis and regression analysis are used. It has been found out that there is a meaningful and negative correlation between the school principals’ favoritist attitudes and behaviors and the teachers' perceptions of organizational justice. It has been seen that favoritism is a meaningful predictor of organizational justice.
