Abstract

The purpose of this study is to adopt an English scale, which measures faculty members’ change orientation, to Turkish language. Accordingly, translation, reliability and validity studies of Faculty Change Orientation Scale, which was developed by Kearney and Smith (2008), were carried out. The original scale consists of 3 subscales and 19 items. Turkish form of the scale was applied to 106 university instructors and exploratory, confirmatory factor analysis, along with reliability studies, were executed. As a result, Turkish form of the scale was found to be reliable and valid to measure faculty members’ change orientation.
