Abstract

In this study we aimed at investigating the possible effects of the law 6528 on schools’ organizational structure.  We take the perspective of Hage’s axiomatic theory to describe schools’ organizational structure. We carried out face to face interviews with 15 school principals, who work in public schools located in Central Province Aksaray. We used a semi-structured interview form in collecting data and we performed both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. At the end of the study, we found that schools have low level of complexity, authoritative hierarchy, stratification, adaptability, and educational outputs but high level of formalization, productivity and slightly adequate of job satisfaction. It refers that schools are closer to organic organization. If the law 6528 is carried out objectively and through criteria, it would support the organic side of school structure but it would also diminish the level of productivity of teaching-learning activities and job satisfaction of school staff.
