Journalism emerged under missionary objectives. Even at that time, people were doing journalism of system change, Today's alternative media is also caste, Violence against women, Corruption and various basic amenities like bread, cloth, It is doing alternative journalism for issues like housing and education. Journalism slowly, It began to change as the media. And by the end of the twentieth century, journalism was almost transformed into media.  Towards the end of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, the period of marketisation began. News was dominated by a particular class. News also started getting marketized and the mainstream media's attention started getting diverted from the issues and problems of the common people.
