Abstract

This paper explores the theme of cultural identity in children’s literature, focusing on the works of two prominent Indian authors: Sudha Murthy and Ruskin Bond. Through an analysis of their narratives, the paper examines how these authors contribute to the shaping of cultural identity among young readers, emphasizing moral values, nature, and community as central elements. The paper further explores the educational implications of integrating these authors’ works into curricula, demonstrating how literature can foster cultural awareness and social responsibility in students
